Unveil was executed as a part of "Disclosing Dapperbuurt", a research and design project of the IM master department at the Design Academy Eindhoven in collaboration with the local housing corporation Ymere Amsterdam. The main objective of the commission for Ymere was to transform the Dapperbuurt area so it appealed to a more middle-class aesthetic. Investigations in the Dapperbuurt area revealed the numerous abandoned inner gardens, squared into building blocks, hidden from the street. Unveil aims at releasing those hidden places, in term of access, light and people flow, for everyone to benefit from those natural entities. By revealing those spaces and proposing new displays in each one, we proposed new points of view, the sensation of openfield, places for social interactions.
